This is an increase in respondents from the 190 CAE’s that responded in 2020 but still less than the 217 that responded to the first survey back in 2013. What is key is that the chief audit executives are well positioned to provide a relatively impartial view of the state of corporate governance in South Africa, across industries and economic sectors.
